The Challenge:
To create a space that marries traditional Bistro form with practical design elements, enabling hassle-free rollout into multiple outlets at Duxton Road, Pacific Plaza & Suntec City.
The Solution:
L’Entrecote, named after the classic French dish of Steak Frites, serves up perfect steaks in an atmosphere you’d expect from a traditional French Bistro. This project encompassed everything from the conception to the launch of the restaurant. Factoring in a significant retail component by way of retail wine sales, we set up the supply chain and developed the labelling featuring the iconic “cow”, for their house red and white wines, allowing for a secondary revenue stream.
The design being inspired by the origins of bistros as utilitarian working class spaces, we went beyond the clients’ traditional expectations developing a look that marries modern industrial cues and old world charm. And since opening to rave reviews, the restaurant has become one of Singapore’s most popular French eateries. Some of our favourite design features, difficult as it is to choose, include the custom illustrated bistro-style poster and our custom in-house designed light fixtures.
