The Challenge:
Savills Investment Management needed to move to larger premises to welcome in their new associates. The challenge was that the new associates were used to swanky “intelligent building” purpose-built offices but the new “digs” were repurposed shop house along Amoy Street. Thus the new office design, being a very different environment, needed to immediately impress without feeling like a step into the past.
The Solution:
By using a minimalist, fresh, clean design where the features of a beautiful skylight and shuttered windows are juxtaposed with stark floors, white desks, white walls, an elegant ‘art gallery’ feel was evoked.
A touch of nature was brought into the space through clever use of covered glass and a decorated light box. Comfy meeting spaces and a private nook offset the stark appearance and a neat, warm, graphic entrance area invites in clients.
Artworks on the wall of the skylight complete the art gallery feel.
